Former Oral Roberts guard Bobby Word will transfer to Cleveland State, he announced on his Twitter account on Saturday.

Word, who stands 6-foot-4, will have two seasons of eligibility remaining after sitting out the 2015-16 campaign, per NCAA transfer rules.

The Lancaster, TX native saw action in 64 career games with the Golden Eagles, making 30 starts. He averaged 7.6 points per game in his two seasons in Tulsa.

Word played in 33 games for ORU last year, making nine starts while averaging 23.1 minutes per game. He averaged 8.4 points and led the team with 65 three-pointers.

He shot 39.3 percent (86-219) from the floor, 39.3 percent (56-143) from three-point range and 76.2 percent (48-63) from the charity stripe.

Word spent most of the 2014-15 season as ORU's sixth-man, but was inserted into the starting lineup for the final six games of the season. As a starter, he thrived, averaging 13.5 points during that stretch - including a pair of 20 point games.

Word's best game in 2014-15 came against Loyola of Chicago in the CBI tournament quarterfinals as he scored 22 points on 6-of-12 shooting, including four three-pointers.
